Today is old stuff day and I thought I would celebrate it by taking a roll down memory lane. I have been blogging now for seven years and in that time I have improved drastically. Yes, some things are still the same but for the most part, I have improved. Therefore, in celebration of old stuff day, I will share my first month’s blog articles with you all today. Maybe you will be able to see the changes I’ve made over the years also. Let’s get started!

On January 11, 2012, I shared a blog article entitled Natural Makeup Remover – Oils for skin. In the blog post, I wrote about how excited I was to find out that I could use coconut and rosemary oil to remove my makeup. At this time most bloggers were dead set on never allowing oil to touch your face. So, this was a big thing for me to realize that oils would remove cake face. Of course now we have oils made specifically for makeup removal such as the iT Cosmetics makeup remover balm and the new St.Ives oil scrubs, the latter I will be reviewing for you in the coming weeks.
On January 11, 2012, I also wrote an article entitled Montagne Jeunesse – Anti-Stress Mask. This was not a positive review. Looking back I have to laugh at the article because I wrote it right after removing the mask so my emotions were still going. I even compared the smell of this mask to a ferocious fart. Wow! Now the company is called 7th Heaven and the mask performed and smelled better. My apologies for this bad review.

On this day in history, I received my first ever MAC order and nearly died from excitement. I purchased the Iris Epfel collection Morange lipstick and wore it for about a week before my sister told me it made me look like a monkey. Yep, never wore it again. But, it’s fun to look back on how excited I was to receive my first MAC cosmetics order. Before that point, I honestly thought MAC was only for rich people. I was a small town girl so we only knew about Covergirl and Fashion Fair cosmetics. Come to think of it I don’t even think the Albany GA mall had a MAC store.
Boy, if old me could see the makeup I wear now, she would gasp in excitement. Sephora is now the granddaddy and Ulta and I are practically engaged. I still love MAC but I haven’t shopped there in so long. But, I’ll always love them for being my first high-end makeup experience.
These were a few of my blast from the past articles. If you like this sort of thing please let me know and I may do this again later in the year.
