This past weekend my mom and my two sisters and I had a mini getaway to West Palm Beach. It was a wonderful opportunity gifted by my father so that we could unwind and just get away from the normal everyday stress for a few days.
You can see my cute slippers I purchased from Hautelook a while back peeking out of my duffle bag. Funny thing is I never wore those the entire trip. Isn’t it funny how we as women usually over pack when going on trips. We only wear about three outfits but we pack the entire closet just in case something comes up. We’re so funny.
The room also had this cool iHome iPod dock that I really wanted but unfortunately, I don’t own an iPod so it was useless for me. But if they ever made one for the iPad, I would probably fall over myself to purchase it.
That night I was way too exhausted to care about leaving the room so after eating I quickly fell asleep. But the next day after the first half of the convention, my body could no longer take it and I had to be brought back to the hotel so that I could lay down. From what I hear I slept for about three hours and when I woke up my sisters were just returning from exploring the hotel.
My mom suggested we eat at Cracker Barrel and of course I said yes to that! I love the decor at Cracker Barrel and I love the food there. Those biscuits make my heart sing and the fish fry was delicious. This is the outfit I wore to dinner:
I paired my khaki jeggings with my Muk Luk boots previously seen here. My new Aero NYC V-neck graphic tee and my gifted Charming Charlies scarf mentioned here. My ring is from Forever21, I’m not sure if they still sale it but here is an alternative ring.
Here’s a close up of look for the night. I kept it very simple like I have told you guys a million times I rarely put on makeup anymore unless I’m going somewhere important. So if you ever see me on the street I will more than likely not be wearing makeup.
It took forever to get this shot because my eyes kept closing so I decided to be a little silly and this was the result:
Silly faces for the win!!!
Have I ever mentioned how comfortable these shoes are! They feel like warm mittens for your feet. I rode down to West Palm Beach in them and wore them for the entire trip. Thank you, Muk Luks, for making such a wonderful product!
After the photo op, we made our way to Cracker Barrel. I didn’t get any pictures of the food because the lady next to us seemed uncomfortable with my camera out so I put it away so that she could eat in peace. But I did photograph the cool decor and gifts in Cracker Barrel.
In the end, my getaway was amazing and I was so happy to have a moment to just breath and enjoy my family. Did you do anything fun last weekend? Tell me about it below!
